Do not worry about wearing high weight running shoes. Increase or decrease a few ounces will have little to running exercise. Some runners wear different weight for games to make running faster, but some also wear shoes that used for daily training as game shoes.
In the 1960’s the Pop Psychology movement was begun by the likes of Werner Erhard, Dale Carnegie, and Eric Fromm. In 1964 Eric Berne published a book that became the movement’s hallmark, “Games People Play”. Just as Bill Gates made the computer useable by average people, Pop Psychology made it possible to understand yourself and those around you without involving a therapist. And thus began the era of self-help gurus, motivational speakers, and eventually, reality TV.
In the past few years the sport of trail running has increased in popularity. This means running on surfaces that are not paved or hardened. Usually trail running is done on single-track trails designed for hiking, sometimes mountain biking, through forested or grassy areas. And a specific type of shoes has been developed for this.
When shopping for outfits for your work out attire, it is best to emulate your celebrity favorites. You don’t have to spend a lot of money to do so, though. You can shop for certain brands in stores like Victoria Secret, The Gap, Reebok, Forever 21, Nike, American Apparel, new balance and Jack Wills; just to name a few. Some of these outfits could be worn all day and no one would know it is specifically made for the gym.
When it is serious pollution, do not exercise outside, you may go to the exercise cub, if financial is not so good. You may wear masks. At the first beginning, it will not be comfortable, but later you will adapt to it.
It’s time to change that paradigm and think about a return to what worked for our ancestors. Keep in mind however, that since it took so long to get into overbuilt shoes, it will take us some time to return to the minimalist approach of shoes. No one should immediately ditch their traditional running shoes and begin to run barefoot. Instead, I’ll provide information in subsequent (or e-mail me) articles that will guide you towards a safe transition from overbuilt (and expensive) shoes to minimal protection for your feet.

I began running in Puma racing flats (size 8.5), which would now be seen closer to running barefoot than to any modern shoe, before switching to the original Puma Hare White / Light Silver – True Red, ripple-soled New Balances (size 7-1/2). I raced on the track in the blue Adidas Tokyos (size 9-1/2) that were probably the most popular track shoes in that era. And I trained mostly in green-striped white Adidas Italias (size 9). (Or were they Romas? How new balance india odd I can’t be sure.) These shoes, all of them are most available and popular in the mid-to-late ’60s, were necessary evils for me, because I didn’t run until my foot was back on the same subject.
